Fun in Vail.

2009 started out the way it should. With a great wedding in The Falls. It was so great to celebrate the Hammetts with so many close friends.
Why is no one's eyes open? This is the part of the evening where the guys decided to engage in a war of snowballs. NO one was safe, elderly ladies and complete strangers. Everyone leaving the Hammett wedding was greeted by an assault of snowballs from this motley crew.
so cold....

NYE

We are laying low this year! Kyle's parents and nephews are coming in town. So we plan to chill at the house. I thought I would post some of my favorite pictures from last NYE.

So C section it is...I guess

Here she is in the "pike" position which is achieved by folding your legs up to your face (like a file folder). She prefers to have her feet resting on top of her head (between my ribs). She often can be found flexing her toes on her forehead (we are so proud, we knew she would be special and full of talent but this has exceeded most our expectations thus far).

Here she is smiling. Lots of hair!!!!

So girlfriend seems to be rotating between "very breech" and "extremely breech." She is unlikely to turn now since she is past 36 weeks and almost 7 lbs... I guess she is a little cramped in there and her mobility is slightly restricted. Which might account for why she keeps trying to push her way through my skin like something out of Aliens. I feel like a pinball machine watching her thrash around from one side to the other at night. Both my mom and Kim have advised stocking up on the Adderall. Quite a big fuss has been made about the large size of her feet and she seems to be filling them out quite well. She has been breech since about 4 months, so I shouldn't be too surprised.

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! I hope that everyone has had a wonderful day with family and friends. This year Kyle and I spent our first Christmas here in Houston. I am too far along in my pregnancy to be traveling apparently. I decorated my first real Christmas tree this year. I channeled my innermost "Melynn" and gave it a shot. We missed seeing our family and what seems to have turned out to be a blizzard! We went over to Abby's house and spent Christmas with the Banks Family. Her and her mom did an excellent job making the most wonderful feast. Everything looked perfect!
