Amelia is 4 months old now! Crazy, partly because most people assume she is at least 6 months old. I understand the confusion, girlfriend weighs in at 17lbs and measures a lengthy 26.5 inches long. I don't want to brag but the doctor did say she was officially "off the chart." Then showed us the chart. We've decided to go ahead and live the NBA lifestyle now and bank on her supporting us later. We're thinking a couple of Escalades, with shiny rims should do it.
She is the sweetest thing. Very laid back. We know if she's crying that she's hungry or ready for bed. Instead of crying she prefers to yell at us. Its her baby talk but louder with a more demanding tone. The face is the best part. She is enjoying bossing us around before we can really ground her for it.
Like I said before growing is not her problem. She is wearing 6-12 month clothing. 6 month fits her best but onsies and stuff she needs the length of the 12 month. I can tell buying clothes for her will be an ordeal.
She eats 5 times a day 6 ounces. She has some reflux but it hasn't slowed her down. She is a tough little lady. She doesn't cry when she gets immunized. Her face does turn red as it scrunches up. It then will return to color and she usually then glares and grunts at the nurse. I imagine it compares to baby cussing, I'm certain she is deliver a choice word or so. But who wouldn't recover quick with thighs like that.
She is jabbering more and beginning to laugh. Earlier today she laughed when I said the word "foot." In the moment I would say other words and nothing then I'd throw "foot" in there and she would just crack up. Who knows.
She has began kicking up a storm in the the bath tub. I have a video I'll try and post soon. She likes sitting in her Bumbo and playing with crinkly baby paper. Everything is going in the mouth and she is constantly drooling!! Her favorite thing right now is her hands. She is always leaning forward, trying to pull up and eat her hands.
This is the routine:
Here she is with one of her favorite teething toys. It's so cute, it's a crab and the eyes are a squeeky button and the large round thing (supposed to be claws) are rattles. The legs are great teethers.
You can see the drool glistening all over her face!
And then she gets greedy. Wants her hand in there too, of course!
Then the switch to the much preferred hand. Why even bother with the toy. The other day she hit herself in the mouth good with one and oh she was so upset! I think it hurt a bit emotionally :)
