I've been avoiding this post because there are so many mixed emotions behind them.
We have transitioned from being Houstonians to Austonians...Austinites.... What do you people call yourselves?
It happened so fast, I'm still trying to process it. Long story short Kyle accepted a position at Westlake Hills Prysbeterian Church in Austin. The story of how it all came together is another example of God's amazing love for us as well as his sense of humor.
Got to love that. You know, I'm pretty sure every time we confess an absolute (i.e. I will never live in Houston...almost 6 years later), He writes it down (grinning to himself, going okay, we'll just see). We used to love High School and say that we would do anything except Middle School. And wouldn't you know that is exactly where The Lord has turned our hearts too. Yep, Kyle is the Middle School director and loving it. They are precious. So God, I'm also NOT going to win the lottery!
Where are we in Austin you ask? In a little slice of Heaven called Lost Creek Blvd. in Westlake. We still have yet to sell our house (prayer request). So we were hoping to find a place to crash for a few weeks so that we weren't paying a mortgage and rent (we want to rent till we decide which area to buy in). And a friend of family in the church offered up their home. It just so happened that they are on vacation June and July, so here we are house sitting enjoying the pool/ spa, patio that overlooks the beautiful hill country, our own private balcony, garden, workout room, maid 5 days a week etc... I definitily feel spoiled. It's not all roses though, they are redoing some of the hardwood flooring today which is extremely loud (imagine living on a jet way). But we just relocated to the west wing of the home and now can barely hear them :) he he he.
I will now leave you with a funny story. I laid down with Amelia this afternoon to take a nap. I must have dozed off before her because I woke up to her eating my nose. She had scooted over to me and decided my face looked tasty. She is into putting everything in her mouth including her feet. If I lean over she will grab my face with both her hands and open her mouth as wide as possible trying to fit my entire face inside her mouth. She thinks its really funny.
The view from the backyard. So far I'm loving Austin.

I am glad you are where God wants you though!!! Best wishes!
How wonderful that it worked out for you to stay at that house! The Amelia story is too cute. Hope your house sells soon and that you are able to settle into being an Austonian-ite. :)
We missed you two last night. :( Love ya'll.

Hey Morgan, it was great seeing you today and meeting your precious Amelia. She is adorable! So glad to hear that you guys are now Austinites (I believe that is the proper term. Hopefully we will see you more often now. Here is our blog.
