So I've been a little sloppy of a blogger. It easier for me to use photos off my iphone than to download them from my camera and post. So I have left many memorable moments unblogged! (gasp here). First off there is Fourth of July. Amelia and I went up to Oklahoma for the Johnson Family Reunion. My amazing cousin Emily came up with the great idea of playing "Minute to Win it" games. It was so much fun.
Amelia is growing up too fast for our liking. Around 5 months she started feeding herself her bottle (when it comes to food she will find a way to make it work). She started sitting on her own a few weeks later. She loves her walker and zips around all over the place in it. She loves looking a books, listening to music and swimming. She has started solids and loves everything orange and protests everything green (although she will still eat it, but verbally abuses me and eventually spits it back out letting us know she's had enough). I had to include one of my favorite pictures of Amelia in one of her cloth diapers. This is when I had the grand idea of doubling up the cloth part during the night. You can see how thrilled she was with my genius idea, we decided on disposables for night time.
We've been so busy this summer swimming and playing with friends and family. Amelia has a ton of precious friends here in Austin that she will get to grow up with. We enjoyed many swimming play dates over the summer and sadly, due varying nap schedules, I have few pictures to share of all the adorable punkins. If you can only imagine 6 girls in this season's best swim wear with Caleb and Gain. Its kinda like a SI's baby swimsuit edition, you know with a ton of rolls. Amelia is a very strong swimmer, mainly because we hold her up but she does kick and pull her arms like she's Michael Phelps. Kyle's parents took his nephews to San Antonio for the week and stopped by for a few days. Amelia loved spending time with her Grandparents and especially her cousins. They give her fits of laughter with all their goofy faces, voices and dancing. Her Gramma gave her a lemon to lick and she LOVED it, not on sour face, she just sucked the thing dry! She would not let go of it! Not sure what this means. She also got to meet Aunt Kim, Uncle Marvin (Kyle's Aunt and Uncle) her second cousin Jackie.
Ah it feels so good to be caught up!
